The 3 faithful men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into a super-heated furnace as punishment for not bending the knee. When the king looked into the furnace he saw a fourth, mysterious man. The three came out unburned, and not even smelling of smoke.
Jesus is our companion in the fire.
